With the end in sight, we now add the lapel facings and baste in the lining, while the collar and sleeves remain at skeleton baste.
The pattern remains the blueprint of your jacket’s construction; any changes or alterations made by your tailor are also incorporated into your pattern.
We are now ready to add the final touches such as finishing the lining and buttonholes. Your suit pants are now ready at this stage as well.
Given that the suit is only informally pieced together, any changes like lengthening/shortening, button positioning and even pattern construction can easily be made – something not possible with a made-to-measure suit.
